Best timing to do WC
Hi all...Been keepin aro for several years. Currently home in 6x2.5.2.5 wt 4ft sump. For maintaning water condition ive been doing quaterly WC once a wk addition of checking water ph regularly. Normally I do WC in the evening before 9pm.
My concern is there any preference timing or perhaps good timing to do WC. I meant during day..afternoon.. ...nite or no timing acquired.
How abt before feeding how many hrs after feeding?
Dont know y suddenly thinking abt this matter.? Might be some of aro fans out there wanna share abt this matter...

When no one is a home is tje best time.. later I un roll the hose then someone decides to shit.. end up wait for 30mins hahahaha
For me I do 25% water change on Wed and Sun.
>For me, my WC is only weekend where I got the time. Every sat morning to be exact. Think there is no right timing for wc ba, its all up to each individual preference. I wc in the morning cos my feeding time is only at nighttime and does not want to affect the fish appetite so give them the rest of the day to adjust to the wc.

Sunday night 10pm will do last feeding n scrub necessary area, usually will do part by part scrub each week...
next morning will check p.h , if dwn will wash my 1st layer green hard wool n add Cabo soda..
At Monday night 9pm will wc with water slow slow flow ,anti clorine added n doing it carefully, i will not rush went I wc..
Till 11.30pm-12am finish, last step will add bio earth..
Like the rest imo..Will get shag after that, lol...

>for me, i try to do on sunday. reason being im trying my best to avoid chlorine refill, and if they topped up on friday, that would give saturday at least for the block to use up as much of it as possible..i change direct from tap and this has worked without issue for many years now although i cant say for sure if its just my thinking and not actually factual..
i also top up at a slow pace..with double, sometimes triple dose of of anti chlorine.. oh and i try to wc before the noon sun.. so temp doesnt fluctuate too much
>Use a gd anti chlorine should be able to get the job done. Used to avoid those taboo too, but tired of getting restriction and isnt fish keeping suppose to be relax one. Hehe. Like a senior here said, let fish adapt to us rather than we adapt to them, this may indirectly help built up their core. My friends and i use the same anti chlorine and we wc anytime deem necessary. No problem at all. Myself, i would prefer to wc during non feeding day so as not to stress them up. Some bro i know, once in a blue moon wc and their usual method is top up water. U will be amazed tat their fish still look so striking and beautiful. Different ppl have different method. Follow ur heart.
